Hi guys

I have the opportunity to buy a hks supercharger used and wanted to ask a few questions.

How often does the traction fluid need to be changed?
He says one of the mounting brackets are broken and can be easily welded back on. Would it affect the charger at all if it's not specifically at 100% the angle it came new?
What other mods should be done if the car is tracked around 3-4 times a year?

Maintenance intervals:

Inspection / Replacement
1 HKS Traction Fluid Replacement is not necessary.
Add oil only if needed.
2 Traction Fluid Filter Replace every 5 years or 70,000km.
3 Belt
Check all belts for cracks, tears, and correct
tension on a regular basis..
4 Air Cleaner
Replace every 2,000 – 3,000km. Filter may need to
be replaced earlier than the above recommended
intervals depending on the filter condition.

Regarding the bracket - which one specifically?

Mods - oil cooler for the engine oil, the sump oil surge thingy-what-you-call-it and fuel surge (fuel swirl pot?)

Yes my english is on point..

I'd consider a vented bonnet too if going on track.

Depends on what you already have. oem EMS will have to go. Probably new clutch although several of us have used the oem one for a bit.

Catch cans for blow by too.

Question for you guys - do I have to follow the instructions for JDM vehicles in the HKS manual? I'm currently at the 2nd Air Control section (page 30 in the HKS manual) and I can see some changes for the ABS unit - but again all specified for JDM vehicles.

Ok install is pretty much finished; just got one side of the piping to complete then we are there.

One issue remains that the oil filter is against one of the pipes. This is due to my sandwich plate which houses the oil temperature and oil pressure sensors. I'm thinking of getting a shortie oil filter - who stocks these filters? Do Eurocarparts or GSF do them?

I looked at the HKS item but worked out it wouldn't fit based on the dimensions on the website. Depends on the thickness of your sandwich plate as to whether it will fit.Have you retained the OEM oil cooler?

Heres a photo of the clearance of mine with the Mahle Filter

Sorry for the late reply; been sick over the weekend and didn't end up making my mapping appointment

Yes - OEM donut was kept and my sandwich plate doesn't look that much smaller than yours. However what's strange is whilst my filter is taller than yours; I have a considerable gap between the filter and the intake pipe..
