Also I am after updating the brakes to a bigger brake kit. Any idea where I can get the bits?
Thanks

there are lots of options that will get you power, none really cheap. If you're chasing big numbers go turbo, there's a rotrex which mounts in place of the aircon in FS atm

I bought mine was on eBay mate, only about £20 and an absolute must! Had to use a 5ft jack pole over a breaker bar before I finally managed to get the bolt out - after splitting a cheaper impact socket!

No need for a crankshaft tool fella.

Either:-
-Take the car for a drive and get it nice and hot, Chock all 4 wheels, stick her in 6th gear and that should be enough lock to stop it from turning over. Use a can of compressed air, turn it upside down and squirt the bolt as this will freeze it, this process worked perfectly for me and came out with a 2ft 1/2 inch breaker bar.
-If you're lazy or ghetto, get a breaker bar wedge it against sill or subframe, remove fuel pump fuse and just gently bump the starter motor, this should also undo the bolt.

There are a few videos on here showing how this is done.

I welded a big bar about 2foot long, took 2 attempts, first time it broke the weld!

Got it off :-) Nice one. Ended up sticking it in 6th gear and using a breaker bar. Took five seconds.

My good deed for the day done

There is no more satisfying noise than that crank pulley bolt cracking undone!
