Yep - Unfortuanelty the weak pound has make imports more expenisive to order, but exports are stronger at the same time so its a balance I guess

Hopefully this Brexit thing will sort it outself out in a few months - but alas I fear it may be years!

It will calm down eventually, everyone is going mad at the moment and its just silly...

Does anyone know of a good place to buy carbon fibre sheets? i want to make the plate to hold gauges behind radio door. Is it difficult to cut?

Today was a fun day. I had a go at starting the S2000; it just would not start. Cranks over and all that but simply does not start. Initial thoughts were a dud battery but it had been on charge for a few days now and a quick check showed a healthy 12.4v.

Removed the negative terminal and left it off for a while on a hunch, put it back on after a few minutes and it turned over first time.

So there's me thinking must have been some ISIS loving gremlins.. must have driven a few metres and it started acting up and cut out. Further attempts to start it failed.

Took the the battery out and walked to Eurocarparts and picked up another battery - walked back, fitted the new battery and worked straight away. Fast forward an hour or two; went to start it again and the same issue. Took the negative off and put it back on and started up the first time.

Makes me wonder if the original battery is fine and it's now the AEM ECU acting up.

I told you guys.. I would not even last till the Wednesday

Has it been mapped yet or is it on a rough map?

Its been mapped since last year. I know the AEM units sometime suffer from weird problems - is this one of them?

Edit - Quick google:

http://www.aemelectronics.com/?q=for...out-hard-reset

The symptoms are exactly like mine. It might be my gauges causing havoc - I'll disconnect these and see if I still have the same problem.

Thats interesting as my UEGO is wired to a permanent 12v at the moment as i got the wrong one by accident but my EMS is powering down on key off. I unplug the wire going to the gauge when i turn car off to stop it draining battery and damaging sensor.

Sometimes when i turn the ignition on i don't get fuel prime so i have to key off and on again but apart from that the car is faultless.

I have a fuse box to go in under the dash this weekend to put the gauge on a switch live from fuse box.

My AEM does the same in that it won't prime the pump sometimes with the ignition on. Even more so when the laptop is connected. Taking the key out for a few seconds and putting it back in sorts it. I figured it might be an immobilizer problem with the OEM alarm.

That is my general consensus from it. Plus the fact it allows you to pump up some oil pressure before actually firing so not really a bad thing if I'm honest.
