Is there no way of re-routing the air pipping instead?

Not really without alot of effort. The pipe is mounted to a flange that bolts to the supercharger, it then runs down towards the oil filter area where it connects to a silicon coupling.

You could argue that deleting the OEM cooler is the thing to do but i like the fact that it will quickly warm the engine up to the same temperature as the coolant. The thermostatic valves on the mocal coolers aren't great in that they always let oil flow through the cooler circuit, i guess its to protect the cooler and hoses from a sudden rise in temperature as hot oil starts running through. At least with the oem cooler you should prevent overcooling of the oil. I realise this isn't necessary in a track car that spends 90% of the time at full throttle.

I will be rerouting the pipe that comes down from the back of the charger as I have a sandwich plate with standard heat exchanger.
took me an hour to get pulley off today, ended up having to weld a bar on to pulley then getting some drain pipe to brake the bolt!

Also I'm fitting the traction fluid cooler on the right hand side.

The tool makes it easy as you can push it against the suspension strut and then use a massive breaker bar on the pulley.

Let us know how you get on relocating the pipe on the charger. Plenty of photos required

Couldnt reroute pipe, ran out of time.
traction cooler is fitted on the right though as oil cooler is on the left.
car is running on a temp map from Chris and idles 12 afr and cruises around 14.5-15 so that should be safe to get me to his work.
was a nice easy install apart from loosing an injector plug so had to plug pins in and fill with silicon for now until a new one comes.
fired first time and no leaks from injectors so fingers crossed all good for tomorrow!

Omg that was me!! parked up at mates just heading up to EFI now!
had to stop though, slight leak from joiner hose for throttle body coolant, those metals crimps that hks give us are terrible, had to grab some jubilee clips from halfords.
it's running around 14.7 cruising, I'm keeping it at 55 till I get tuned at EFI later.

Haha, and little did you know, you were parked mid-way between 2 supercharged S2000, no more than 20m away.
