Fitted fuel pump last night. Not as big a job as I thought it would be.
Used the supplied filter bag (Which is considerably smaller than OEM) but figured it is supplied with the pump, so would do the job just fine.
1 1/2 hrs start to finish by torch light.
Anyone thinking of fitting them, providing you have a 8mm, 10mm socket and Philips screw driver, you are all set to go!
(Oh and some pliers for the spring clips on the fuel line)
Need to sort my tracking out, and then off to TDI on Friday.

Can anyone advise on how long it takes to prime the charger fluid/oil? The instructions are very straight forward but just wondered how long or hard it actually is to do.

That's the impression I got. Cant image it taking more than 10min, if the instructions are anything to go by.
Sure someone who has had it done can give some more info.
Also, is this something we can do before the car is mapped? Put the belt on, but don't have the pipework into the engine, so no extra air would be forced in.
Guess it will just be a little extra load on the engine to spin up the charger.

i left mine to the tuner, took all of 5minutes, but he didn't do it the conventional way, he used a air hose to either suck or blow the oil through the system and then started the car, and topped up

The instructions for the TTS kit make a point of telling you to prime the SC with fluid first, just by slacking off the input banjo and gravity feeding it. Minimises the length of time it's running dry.

Both the input and output are on the underside of the HKS unit and very hard to get to once bolted up on the car. the only way i could think of gravity feeding the unit would be to remove the hose from the oil pot and funnelling it through the hose.

Remove line from reservoir, pour some fluid in the line and blow down it. Get the fluid to circulate into the charger. Do that a few times and then re-connect hose maybe?
