DRONE UPDATE!!!
I love my HKS!
The drone has backed off to a level well within reasonable limits. Sooting up obviously makes a huge difference.
I no longer get headaches or feel like a complete chav.
I still get looks and feel like a partial chav, but I can live with that!
Blue skys today so went for a proper hoon around some country lanes and a blat back through town. Also went through my favorite local tunnel.
It sounds feckin ace!
Fingers still crossed that it's Bedford compatible!

I think i'm going to go racing (read high flow) cat, instead of test pipe, to prevent the MOT issues, and negate any torque loss.
I'll be speaking to some people who can fab a sports cat and let you know a price for anyone that's interested

I understood that the standard CAT is very efficient anyway, not sure a high flow cat is going to be much, if any, different?

I had the same concern as you CiderBoy when I got my HKS. It WILL get quieter over time and you automatically learn to drive around the drone zone.
The pros far outweight the cons IMHO

The HKS and I have already been to relate and our relationship appears to have a bright future.
I've done a few miles now and the drone has completely changed and I am actually enjoying it now.
The sound from 4k rpm and above is fantastic.

I know a company that can make 100 cell cats for a reasonable sum, which is what I will be getting, which I presume will give a good performance gain over the OEM honda item. I have to take the cat off any to get a new one fabbed, i'll see what it's like when I take it off. Anyone know the make up of the standard cat?
