Sorry to hear about what happened.

I don't know how people can sleep at night knowingly damaging someone else's car and driving off.

I'd call that fairly suspicious. Hope it's him - I would bloody love that. A knock on the door at tea time.

Sorry, you work on an MOD base with no CCTV/Security cameras??

What the hell is my tax money paying for??

As a UK taxpayer, I demand the right for you to have CCTV based justice! Who do I write to in the strongest possible terms?

It's a joke, isn't it?

The cameras that are present face out, not in

My CO has his head so far up his arse that he wouldn't even take notice of such a matter

We've got a mess dinner this evening with the person in question in attendance...I might just say that they've identified who did it to see if I can bluff him.

I haven't got his home address yet, but may well follow him home one day and/or ring round the LR dealers in the area to see if they've had any requests for RR rear lights.

Good idea see if you can bluff him at your mess dinner, failing that go round his house and see his car (and call his bluff) he may say 'prove it' - I've come across characters like this before, so If your pretty sure its him lie to him and say you have a witness, most times people like this will then admit it.

Totally the range rover guy. I'd follow him home before trying to talk to him in person, just incase he manages to hide the car somehow or in a garage.

You can tell the police about it then at worst case who will follow up by examining both cars and coming to a conclusion.

Wouldn't hold out that much for the police! No injury and no proof, they wont waste their time!

Police aren't interested unless you have a witness who has taken the reg number.

Sorry to hear that mate as your car is very nice. I'd be fuming. Hopefully you get it sorted and the person responsible coughs up.
