gutted for you mate, gets to me hearing stuff like this. Humanity is f@#ked to many ignorant selfish pricks about nowadays.
I think a mass population cull is needed to rid us of these twonks.
Hope you get sorted asap mate.

Matt that's dreadful, really sorry for you
Perhaps someone heard something, surely that would make a loud noise causing all that damage? I agree with gbduo, put a sign up. They will have to get their vehicle repaired so contact the police and check out the local garages!
Start wearing a four leaf clover or should that be garlic round your neck!

I have just cast an awful spell on that utter bird brain that has done that. What a feeble individual that did that, times like that its would be worth having a mini camera installed in the car recording on long play.

Thanks for the kind words folks
I've managed to pop the numberplate plinth back into its normal position.
No joy with any CCTV as there just aren't any cameras, even on the gate
I think I may know the perpetrator too; someone I work with He has a Range Rover, and always parks in the same car park that I do. I'll be popping round to his house later to check his RR out...he turned up in his Wife's car this morning, and parked elsewhere
If it's not him, it's a newer shape transit...the bumper on those is just the right height to create the bootlid dent.
I'm not holding out much hope, but I'd rather make an effort to find the selfish pr1ck.
The bumper doesn't look too bad. I'll be seeing if the boot can be repaired when I get a couple of bodyshops to cast their eye over it tomorrow.

if the RR guy drove a different car in and has parked somewhere else he definitely sounds like the guilty party,
get over to his before he gets a pot of T-Cut out as it prob did little to no damage to that,
