Talking Hi...

Hi,

I've just joined this forum and have yet to purchase my S2000. Im going to get one around April time but I am just getting a few quotes now before I buy the car.

I just wanted to know if anyone would have a rough idea of the cost of insurance I would be looking at Im 23 with 3 years NCB driving licence held for 5 years no points or claims made. I would be after an AP1 2001/2002 year of manufacture.

Thanks for the help in advnace. I look forward to joining the club in the near future!

Regards
Sanchi

P.S Forgot to mention Im for the UK West London area

That was off gocompare from what i remember and it ended up being with swinton, i have 4 NCBs, and added the other drivers after i took out the policy.
If i were you, do what im gonna do, i spoke to adrian flux, they wouldn't even quote me because this is my first high performance car but they said give them a call once i've had it a year and it will be alot cheaper and if your a member of a certain forum you also get 15% discount.
Get your first year cleared and it'll get alot better

My previous car was an MR2 turbo and Im still getting quotes that are very high even with the parents added! It is hard but as you say just take it for the first year as it seems as though it does drop considerably after the first year of ownership. Looks like I just have to keep searching. Thanks for the swift replies!

Having a year of ownership makes big difference. Don't let it put you off
It wasn't the year of ownership, it was the fact you were over 25.

Last year my premium with 1yr NCB was

At 23 when I got my s2000 I had 4 years ncb no accidents and a clean license. Paid just shy of 2k on a bell flexibell policy.

This year at 24, 5 years ncb clean license and a non fault accident due to someone nudging me at a roundabout it was 829.00 !!
