Who is this Fred character? lol!
Budget of around £7-8000, what smy chances of getting a decent quality S2000? And if i can, what extra's are recommended to mod the car? ( i realise not much exterior work, if any, is needed)

Hi

I got a very nice condition 02 in June for the same budget as you have - shop around first though, I saw a couple of complete dogs before I found mine!

There’s a lot around for that budget.
You could defiantly pick up a 00 – 01 with a plastic screen and have some cash left over. (I got one for 5.5k), you might be able to get one with a glass screen and bit newer for 7kish. You might even find one that’s had the geo bots unsiezed.
But, there are a lot of bad ones around, Cat D, untidy, suspicious looking respray jobs – just make sure you take all the obvious precautions.

When I got mine I did this;….
Geo and Unstitcking of stuck bolts £750
4 new tyres (to replace the suspect old stock ones on there) £350
2 hours on a racetrack with an instructor £250

Next on my list is;
Change of diff,gearbox,engine oils.
Change timing chain tensioner
Go to some track days, and more tuition.

And if I get round to to it..
New wheels, or refurb existing ones, or maybe go up to 17” ?
New hood with glass £600+
