Though obviously you've checked your wheel nuts, haven't you?

Thanks all.

I did check the nuts and all appear secure. Seems it may be the Wheel bearing then!

I will give it a fuller inspection in the morning.

Wheel bearing sounds a likely candidate.

The verdict is in...

Seized Brake Calliper, resulting in warped Disk. Need new Calliper and Disks..ouch.

They gave me the option of refurbing the existing calliper, but went with the new one due to the time it would take to get the job done.

Just when i was thinking about trading her in for a newer model. This, and a gearbox refurb, are the only two issues I have had in nearly 7 years of ownership, so can't complain really.

The garage agreed there was a noticable difference wheni checked the car in. After the initial inspection was completed, and they put the wheel back on again, it was not noticable.

They advised the springs looked OK at a glance, but would check the height again once the calliper was fixed.

Spent too long yesterday looking at what i could get for a trade in of my 01 plus 10k. There is still no other car out there that does it for me, so another S2K is on the horizon me thinks.

Sounds like you've got a seized brake caliper.

New caliper or new refurb caliper?

Brakes international do refurbed calipers at a good price and i think they are available off the shelf.

New Caliper, already on order from Honda.

My priority is getting the car back on the road ASAP, so went with the quickest (but most expensive) option.

FWIW my Primera problem wasn't the wheel bearing either. It was a worn part of the hub.

So moral of the story: don't listen to me.
