help needed stubborn bellhousing &block
hi guys some advice needed please, i went to take my engine out to day need to replace one of the pistons, the head is already off and at the work shop being repaired, started off with the belhousing bolts and got a split between the block and belhousing but the 2 wont part then thought the clutch slave might have something to do with so took it off and the gap got a bit bigger, i can see the clutch basket and tryed to force the 2 apart it feels like the spigot shaft is stuck on a spring, has any one ever experienced this before or have i missed something out
i have done a few clutches in the past and never had this problem

Don't want to make it sound like you're a novice or anything but this is the general checklist.
Did you remove the clutch fork?
Did you remove the Gearshifter from above?
Have you removed all earthing and wiring from the box?
Have you removed the clutch slave? YES
Is there anything catching the top of the box when you're trying to remove it? Gearbox tunnel too low?
Is the gap even all the way around or does it appear that there is resistance from one side? If not even, Bolt?
Have you got anyone to help you remove the box? You need to keep it vertically in line with the engine, if you have a gearbox cradle/jack use it to keep the right position and use 2 people to pull back and sway it side to side to see if you can remove it.
If that fails use a crowbar on both left and right sides and pry it open evenly on the bellhousing.
If that fails too, drop the front subframe
