Do you have cushions in the house? I'm not helping much but I'm getting my PPD up.
I think I can see where you're going, BF.

I only wish Eni would humour you a little more, so we can GET TO THE POINT!

Eni, sounds like the missus is FAR too sensible. Definitely get her along to the meet -

I will pray the weather backs you!

I'm driving daft miles Cambridge to/from Wiltshire at the mo; and I've started to depart more often from the dual carriageways to explore our great countryside. Explain that all that fresh air is good for her - better than sitting in an air-conditioned gym for

Eeek scary metting new people...

PM me the details and I'll see if I can convince her to go.

Cheers for the invite.
Don't forget her whip & your Gimp mask.

Anyway that aside, you might find the S2000 isn't a park outside all week job once you get it, you'll be dashing all over the countryside...trust me...even with one kid after she was asleep I had to go for a spin (mine was an everyday commuter as well mind).

2nd child however stopped all that ....so do it while you can........

On a different note....you might find you will be bitterly disappointed with the realistic price of a 2 litre petrol focus...

At the meet you could get the lowdown on quite a few for sale on the forum?

Hey Eni - I hope it works out with the S.

Even after the emotive things - She likes the look, the drive etc.. it keeps coming back to money.

I would say that it's the only car that can deliver the performance and smile for the money.

It's extremely efficient for the HP output, economic to service and it will hold it's value far better than most other cars, especially, if you're not putting much milage on it. You could also go for a fixed milage insurance to help keep things lower.

What's her alternative anyway, no new car at all?

Best of luck mate.

You choose the car - she chooses the colour, birds love that sort of thing...

That's how we ended up with Nurby Blue

When I was considering buying mine, the thing that kept going through my mind was "when am I going to be in a position again to buy a 2 seater sports car?" I'm similar age to you (also 25) and you've gotta think - at some point your gonna wanna settle further and maybe produce offspring - bang goes your spare ca$h and 2 seats are no good. Do it now while your young and able to. Otherwise it will be a LONG time until you next have the spare cash and lack of responsibility!!

Trust me, my girlfriend LOVES the S!!!

Yep, you now have the best idea and the one I was going to suggest:

- sell the Clio
- the Doris drives the Focus
- get a nearly new S2000 in winter when they are cheaper
- get discount insurance as you may do <6000 miles per annum

An S2000 is likely to have far less depreciation than the Focus. Get a good colour that resells, keep it for 2-3 years and it will sell really well as a used car with low mileage.

Sorted
