Help listening to a rattle in the NW
Afternoon chaps,
I wonder if you guys can help me - I've just finished an oil change on the car and followed the steps exactly as they are written down. However, now that I've started the car with a full load of oil (topped up to fill line, fired it up and then re-topped up), there seems to be a rattle coming from the car and i've got no idea if it was there before or where it is coming from.
So, rather than posting a crude youtube video, or trying to describe what the sound sounds like (which i can't), I'm asking if someone in the NW area can have a listen to it for me and see if it is normal, or if it will have always been there.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Andy

Not sure how much help this suggestion will be, but if by NW you mean the North West of England (rather than London) and you are in Cheshire, give Andy @ Vtecdirect a call - 0800 917 1874 or 07834 390344 and tell him Alison suggested you call him, and I'm sure he would listen to it for you if you are really worried

Lilacalicat - thanks, i live in Warrington, so might give him a shout.
FUN - i think its coming from the engine bay, but it can be heard inside the car.
The only other thing i can think of was that when i started the car, it threw a cel. It turned out that a connector that sits just below the vtec solenoid had come loose. Plugged it back in and the cel went away??

Not changed grade NineBolts, but have changed from Silkolene to Castrol. Still using 5w-40 though.
TCT might be a thought, as the car sounds a bit more 'Diesely' now.
Do we know what the connector was that came loose from trying to get the old filter off? Would that have done anything?
I've not had the courage to take it for a good run yet, as the Mrs is away and don;t fancy being left stranded if it gives up the ghost!
