Default Hello from a newbie.....

Hi folks,

New poster here. I don't take delivery of my S2000 until July of this year (silver/black - importing through Hondas UK) and thought that I might come have a look on here to try to tide me over until it arrives. Aaaargh. Having read how much fun it sounds like you lot are having, I now just want it to arrive all the sooner...... Pah!

Oh well. I shall have to make do with my humble MX5 for another 10 weeks or so, and live vicariously through you lot until then!

And I'm trying not to think about how I'll even THEN have to wait another 600 miles before I can have another visit to VTEC-land. Man, I've only test-driven the S2000 once, but that one experience was enough to make me a VTEC convert for life!

See you all around and about the forum

Mark

Snap!!

I have just sold my MX5 and ordered an S2K (Which arrives in July too).

It is going to be a painfully long wait.

Mark, I see you're in Solihull.

Why not pop over to Shrewsbury in the MX-5 on Sat afternoon 11th May? You can meet a fair few of the people on this forum and get a flavour of what to look forward to

(I'm not saying you can park next to us mind )

Hey, I can understand that too! 5 weeks since I placed my order and still another 10 or so to go......

All the more galling is that a friend of mine at work, who had previously dismissed my fascination with the S2000 (based solely on the less-than-brilliant review that the original version got in Evo magazine) suddenly did a complete U-turn, ordered one and managed to get it for delivery a full month ahead of me - and to rub salt into the wound, the same colour as mine too! I'm gonna have to put up with him for a month before I get mine - I can tell he's going to be insufferable.......

As for the meet in Shrewsbury, I might just drop in and say hi. By happy coincidence, I'm in Shrewsbury that day anyway (lunch with grandparents, to make sure they don't disinherit me - gotta make sure I can pay for my new baby somehow! ) I'll even promise to park the MX5 way away from your cars so as not to give anyone the impression that you know me!

No I'm not a bit impatient...

I AM REALLY REALLY IMPATIENT!!!!

It's been a very long 4 months since it was ordered and no news of build date or delivery date doesn't help. But the end is hopefully in sight now....

HURRY UP HONDA!!!

I know what you mean - I tried finding out a delivery date from the importer this week, but he had only been told 'some time in June'

Keep smilin' it'll be worth the wait !
