Having worked as a car salesman I treated every punter on the premises as a potential buyer and the opportunity to put money in my pocket, Only mugs watch cash stroll out the showroom, obviously on too big a basic.

Just out of interest, why would anyone buy a new car?! Certainly wouldnt be spending 27 large ones on a S2000! Madness! Guess the Bob Gerard option at least make a little more sense...

i had a similar experience when i went to drive a type R ,got fobbed off by a salesman , dont have one in stock ect . It delayed my purchase by 8 months or so because i went cold on it , spoke to another salesman at the same dealership "yes no probs , come back in an hour and i will have it out of the showroom for you " job done placed an order for a brand new one ,happy 40k miles later and time for an S2k

I am not sure where the arguement is.

To me it is simple. Whoever SOLD the car to you should get the commission.

The old salesman clearly didn't do this.

i bought mine last year and although it was an 'import' from malta, when i looked into it, it was actually a uk car that had arrived in the uk then 'flashed' into malta and straight back to the uk. i cant find ANY difference between this and one from a honda uk dealership....not on the logbook....anything.
