Exclamation Hello fellas- New to the UK

Hey all, there are Americans afoot. I've been stationed at RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk with the USAF and my wife is here with me. I have my USDM S2000 shipping over now. I'd just like to get one thing out of the way and let you know your Guinness here is absolutely incredible. It's pretty nice out here.. I've been limited to the East Anglia region so far.. I'm sure I'll get out and see some more when my car arrives.

My question is for you native British folk. Do you have any opinions on how I should go about making my car legal here and able to pass your MOT? I have a 2003 sebring silver AP1. It has the amber corner lens. I believe I need white parking lights and my beams re-aligned. I need a rear fog light as well. Any ideas?

I've included some photos of what my parking lights look like and some other stuff. I have the HKS Hi-Power cat-back with stock cat. I have the mugen replica hardtop installed now.. in that photo it was just placed on with no hardware or rear window.

Thanks a lot,
Jason

If your car is legitimately road worthy in the US then i think there is a limited time legality clause here. I think the minimums for International use are normally a valid drivers license and Insurance. Its really worth double checking your insurance status for this.

Some countries require a local road tax on top.

If you want to register your car here then you need to get a SVA inspection on it. Your car is an AP1 so we have a parallel model herem though yours is left hand drive! I think that simplifies the test.

But you still need an exhaust with a cat for emissions, a rear foglight and quite possibly a set of washers for your HID headlights.

I may not be right on all points btw, so please dont quote me or worse sue !

EDIT to say ! Welcome to England !
