HEL Performance 2012 Time Attack Build
#762
We've done very little in the last few weeks due to work commitments, but parts have been coming in, and on Saturday the diff/prop/driveshafts will go on, as will some adjustable top front arms and rigid collars (Hardrace).
Then when we come back after Xmas the car will be taken away for the wiring loom to be completed.
Then back to us for some final jobs including rear diffuser, rear wing, vinyl wrap, new wheels, front bumper frame and fitting, V-mounted radiator and intercooler....and I'm sure a few more jobs all to complete by March for testing....

Have you got the stock diff casing strapped?
I've got a 3.9 Gear X crown and pinion in mine which is quite strong but the weak point is the diff casing, which shatters apparently. You can get straps which help with strength but I think it's only a matter of time before it breaks when running big Horsepower.

We've been advised it should be more than adequate for the usage - ie no launches, race starts etc. Time Attack is based solely on you putting in a single lap time which beats the rest, so chances are the car will only do 3-6 laps in each outing, 2-3 of which will be warm up/down laps. That said we do have a spare diff just incase
