HEL Performance 2012 Time Attack Build
#692
If you read back I did put earlier in the thread that none of the suspesnsion has been set up yet - Its going to Ohlins for a full set up and then Ohlins are attending the test sessions to do further set up when its been out on track...the overall set up looks rubbish right now but its got no weight in it and its still basically a rolling shell, no need to set it up just for pictures like this yet....all in good time

One of the main reasons why stupid offset / hellaflush wheeled cars handle sub-optimally is due to the ridiculous stretched tyres and stupid camber and toe setting you have to run to make them fit.
Since Hel's car is purely a racing car to be used on smooth racetracks, not bumpy, off camber, poorly surfaced roads, it is less constrained.
As an engineer I thought you would have understood that?
Chris.

Can you please try and make a better effort with your spelling--"ofset"; "wreckon"

What an interesting read. Hat's off for the quality parts and attention to detail
I understand it's function over form, but still, looks lovely, only thing aesthetically that I would change would be the wheel design.
That thing is going to be a beast.

Also due to having proper wings that allow the wheels to fit - there's no need to do stupid things to the suspension geometry to get things to fit.
