Bit of research with the DAX and Rush forums revealed this company:

Some guys in the US were using an Accusump system.
Not been on s2ki for a few months now since the arrival of our new little boy. This was the first thread I searched for as I'm keen to see this thing built and on the road.

I now run just a baffled sump in my car and took off the accusump as it was extra weight and plumbing complexity that I didn't need. Not noticed any oil pressure issues on any of the circuits or hills I was at last year and I have a warning light that is set to come on at 60psi pressure or less. That includes fast circuits like Anglesey, Goodwood, Aintree, etc and some very twisty hills that would definitely get the oil sloshing around.

Haven't put the oil pressure onto the data logger yet but may do if I get a bit of free time this year. I don't reckon a dry sump will be needed especially on road tyres. Maybe on slicks. The reason RED built a dry sump is to fit the tall engine into little escorts.

Good luck with the build!

Matt

Interesting info! But I guess in this game the less that is left to chance the better. Dry sumps are expensive but surely worth it for peace of mind? Cost of dry sump versus engine rebuild after oil starvation?

Still awaiting bodykit and paint so heres a taster of a few things coming through the door for the S2000 at the moment......

BTCC FIA Approved Fuel Cell (Bag Tank and Aluminium casing). Comes with 1 x Bosch 044 HP Fuel Pump, and 4 further pumps placed at each of the 4 corners of the tank at the bottom to prevent any fuel surge whatsoever or the need for a swirl pot. Ali tank needs a refurb/paint before any comments!:

We are only 7 miles from Rarerims and I want to run as wide a rear wheel as possible, so I'm going to utilise their offer of testing different sizes/offsets and probably run with the Rotas they do. As much as Rays etc would be lovely, for the purpose of some 15 minute fast lap stuff (TA) I can justify spending the money elsewhere when it comes to expensive wheels..

Are you a hardrace distributor? I'm after some of the rear upper wishbones and some other bits.

As for not spending good money on wheels, I'd say that's a genuine mistake. Mass lost from unsprung locations is worth three times that of sprung mass - not to mention the inherent benefits of a perfectly balanced wheel.

I can just accept putting low quality carbon panels on the car from the cosmetic damage perspective, but cheap wheels? Wheels are in a way, a safety device after all.

Hi Mark
Sorry to say but I've got to defend rota on this
I have many friends receiving sponsorship from Rota in the Drift scene and a few in Time Attack, although their wheels are slightly heavier than some brands they are very reliable. I have a set of fighter drifts that were run by Phil Maclachlan of Team Green that have seen 2 mean seasons and various practice sessions and they are still within factory spec. I've seen some of the pictures on the Internet about rotas and most of them are damage caused through side impacts, all wheel brands suffer the same issues.
