more than ASM, J racing, I would check AJ Racing (canada) and Evasive they have very good S2000 with mild engine tuning and lots od suspension development making fantastic times beating unlimited AWD cars. AJ have been 2 times FR limited time attack champion.
Cwest-Brian turbo S2000 has done impressive times too almost win in two times.
I would look for US cars more than Japanese
The driver is important too, some said is 80% contribution for wining

Thanks for all the interest guys, we'll be back with some proper progress soon....in the meantime the shell is now-de-loomed and fully emptied, and is going off next week for the cage and seam welding to begin.
If anyone saw the Evo we built this year, we took ALOT of weight out of it, and ran a T45 tubular rear subframe saving about 20-30kg over the OEM subframe alone. Looking to be a bit different with this project too, and plenty of plans to be brave and try something new!

Ok this might seem very dull and pointless to some people, but these are the latest updates......
Everything we take out the shell we will weigh and note where its been removed from, we want to keep the 50/50 weight distribution as much as we can.
Weighing the loom isnt necessarily for that but interesting nonetheless to see what it weighs. I'd expect we could save another 5-6kg once all the unneccessary wiring is removed from the loom (aircon, windows, heater, etc etc)

If you could run a modified starter motor, smaller diameter flywheel/clutch and the madnatory dry sump, you would definitely be able to grind down the bellhousing and run the engine 2-3" lower.
