sorry for the delay with updates people, i have had an operation today and so its all been a bit hectic to the lead up, and obviously im not able to work for a few weeks now. i have a few pics to put up of the seat belt crotch strap points in the shell. and i also have some pics of the hardtop all fitted to the car.
seat rails have been cut to length, and 8 spreader plates, and 8 machined inserts have been turned so that hel can install the seats correctly once the driver is sat in the car for optimum driving position.

work on my part is now 100% complete.
thanks for all the kind comments and for showing such interest in the work and the project.
its been a very fun project to be involved with and hopefully you may see a bit more custom work from us in the future, be it more work on the hel car, or doing work for any of you guys.

Another update of note is that we are currently having some moulds done for FULL S2000 doors like the ones in the picture below. These doors will be available in GRP/Fibreglass or Carbon on request, and available initially at a discounted rate when we have the first batch done.

They will be made in the UK by a renowned fibreglass specialist who last year did a series of the same style doors for Mitsubishi Evos. In the UK Time Attack last year virtually all Evo runners used them, saving over 77kg on the car in weight!

These doors will weigh somewhere between 3-4kg!

for the seat belt anchorage points there is one std point in the inner sill. there was also another point in the floor near the tunnel but it needed drilling out and tapping to 7/16unf which we did ready to accept an eyebolt.

we then welded in a plate with captive 7/16unf nut for the crotch strap.

Ah - spotted it!!! Come on guys be honest - the reason the Capri isn't there anymore is because you have chopped and tailored the roof for the S haven't you?
I sense the next stages of this project are going to invoke even more interest!!!

thanks, as the roof is aluminium we had to bond in some steel inserts to bolt into. the rears just pick up on the std hardtop brackets. the brackets pull the roof down nice and tight as you do them up.

Love following this thread, I can really appreciate the workmanship involved, I love a good bead of weld. Have you planned the project out at all or are you just going on experience and making it up as you go along?

out of interest can you flock an ally interior pannel?

would be interesting to save £500 for a honda fitting kit and do something similar to what you have done
