Why should a cage look cool? if it is there to serve a safety purpose? And are people really thinking they are going to need that level of protection for "fast road"?
It's trying to be something it is not. IMO
In the 9 years I've been involved with S2000s and of all those I have seen rolled in the UK, I've never seen an injury, without any cool looking roll cages. (caveat that with 2 deaths in the US, down lavines etc. )

i have sent the same pics and question to Nickson via PM and they have said that the cage would work but is not MSA or FIA compliant and has a poor design but effectively would work, but they would build something similar but to MSA regulations.
when do you get the car back HEL?
is it going straight to a bodyshop for kit and painting or you gotta do a mock up build first?

Nickson are probably having to be more diplomatic about it than I am

Cages like this are widely known in the industry as 'dash dodgers'....if its purely for looks fine, if its for anything else, pay the money to do it properly as this doesnt offer you alot more in terms of chassis stiffening or safety.
Our shell is just being finished off at Nickson and will most likely come back to us in the next week or two. The widebody kit is probably still a month or two away from arriving so we'll start a a dry build of the subframes and then get it stripped again and painted once the bodykit is here and fitted.
The engine went off to TTS Performance yesterday and Richard will begin the engine build and custom race supercharger kit over the course of the next 4-6 months. I'm sure he'll be along to this thread in due course with lots of information and pictures.
