Difficult to say, but I think mine always felt better with the Mugen roof on. I think it's supposed to work better with a wing. It's more lsippery than a softop if nothing else.

An S2000 has better acceleration with the roof up. At Spa, I was able to go somewhere between 5 and 10mph faster along the Kemmel straight with the roof up.

Does the mugen hardtop not look quite like OEM? The spoon one on the other hand looks great and very streamlined...

Compared to the soft top maybe, compared to the hardtop I doubt that!
I remember a track video on here before where performance variations were noted with the roof down. Found the link - the comment around 25:50 in the video below is interesting although as you say it's comparible to the soft top. Not sure Mr Henderson would welcome the British weather without it though

I just love the passion and the giggles of these guys. Sound like kids who have ingested too much tartrazine

And that's the exact video I was thinking of.

Well done.

bit more work to the cage today, main hoop footplate fabbed and welded into the shell, rear footplates also welded to rear suspension points.
main hoop trimmed and tacked in place, and both rear stays profiled and tacked in place.
