Yes we are coming to Assen and Zandvoort in 2012 with our Dutch distributor Showoff Imports, and if the car gets finished for it we may come over in 2011 for some testing for the September 2011 round.
That's good news . This year 2 s2k's competed in Pro-class .
The HEL s2k will have suporters . This year and 09 we went to Assen with a group of Dutch and Belgian s2k's .
See you in Assen our Zandvoort .

I'm curious, did you ever consider making a sort of tube frame/s2000 chassis prototype style setup? Also, could you make a structural hardtop by welding a roof to the pillars and then running trusses of the cage to the roof?
Regards the roof, Nickson M'Sport are looking at fabbing some of their own bracketry for us. Would be nice to still have access this way over making it a permenant one. Who knows, if we come into some decent money we may have to change that OEM hard top for the Spoon one

I noticed that there is some rust inside one of the front suspension turret's, and what with your general spraying of welds etc with primer I was wondering why you don't have the whole thing blasted and get rid of all of the old paint and any corrosion and respray from scratch, maybe even saving a few more grams.

The etch primer is just a temporary measure to keep the rust at bay on the bare metal work. Once the car is back with us we'll either rub it down properly or blast it (we have our own spray booth and associated tooling to do it ourselves which is nice as we can ensure a proper job is done at our own pace)

back to buisness after the xmas break, today we started work on the cage.
first thing to do was remove the std dash tube, and remove the steering column bracket ready to re use with the cage so the steering column bolts to the cage dash bar.
we then stripped down the inside of the hardtop, removing the std hardtop fixing brackets, and all the headlining and trim to enable a better fit of the cage, and of course shed a bit more weight
we then did all the templates for the rear leg mounting plates, and the main hoop plates, which are currently being fabricated.
we then bent up the main hoop
tommorow we should have the 4 rear footplates welded into the car, and the main hoop tacked and a few extra tubes in place in the rear section.
