my friend and I have conversed about this for months, my friend is in the VX220 club and obviously myself here, I definitely welled up with pride when I heard you were faster than the VX.

They must have got it set up a bit better during lunch break as the session prior to lunch it looked and sounded like they had ignition trouble. I left at lunch because it was f@#king freezing, was good to see the car up close though and hear it going round the track. There was only one other car that was louder and that was an old sierra which sounded like nothing I've ever heard. It definitely looked like there was a lot more to come from the car.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWW
Car was fantastic. Mindblowingly good for its first trip out the garage.
Issues were pretty simple - The foam in the fuel cell dissolved and blocked the fuel filter in both warm up and practice, meaning the car ran for literally 2 laps each time before coming to a halt. With it being Cadwell you cant go back to the paddock mid session, so that was our testing over.
Between practice and qualifying we pulled all the foam out the tank, cleaned everything, and re-fueled her. Changed the damper settings at CBH's request, and that was that. Kept the rpm at 8k limit, stuck to v-power, and did a 1:37.9 to put us 1st in class in qualifying.
Final came round, did a few laps, was immediately a second quicker than the qualifying time. Pulled the car in, dropped the tyre pressures a tad, sent him back out, and he did 2-3 laps in the 1.35's to win the Club Pro 2WD. Great considering we'd never used the car before, and that there is so much left to come - a proper rear wing, a lighter front splitter in carbon with canards, race fuel to consider, raising the rpm to consider, and sort out the terrible bump steer amongst other things....
If you consider it was faster than several cars in classes above and below it with a mixture of increased BHP (Some 2-300hp more than the S2K), slicks etc, you can understand why we are totally chuffed with it!
Little video for anyone interested -
