I think your right about the post code - I know koads of insurance companies wont even quote for a Northern Ireland postcode. Unlucky mate I though mine was bad for

I've heard of someone paying 3K to insure their S.

240BHP, when you get a reasonable quote you get them to re-quote with a Tracker device fitted - it sometimes cuts the cost further.

There's also that thing about adding a second driver that is older, sounded like some companies software averaged out the risk and reduced the cost accordingly.
