Default Heavy clutch pedal

My clutch is very heavy it seems to me, I just drove my daughters fiesta for example and depressing the clutch on that is very easy and very smooth. My S however is tiring on the leg within a few depresses, is there a common, or simple solution to this?

As above, however it didn't make a massive difference when i did it.

The few people on here that have drove my S say my clutch is heavy compared to other S2000's, which makes me think the clutch has possibly been changed at some point - the feel doesn't bother me TBH.

I drove Steve Pearsons MY04 and it is definitely lighter compared to mine.

I bet if you look at your clutch fluid it's black.

A good flush helps aswell IMO

Yeah, flush through the fluid, do the ball thing and whilst the slave is off get a torch and coat hanger and get some high temp greese on the fork where it contacts the bearing. Done mine, light and smooth clutch.

Clutch fluid made mine a bit lighter.

AJ, I've done the same comparison and the 04 clutch was much lighter than mine too

Very usefull link. I have done this to mine couple of months ago and it cured the squicky noise. However it did not make any change to how heavy the pedal was. Clutch usually gets heavy with time. When is very heavy is due to a change. I have also heard from friends that cluch is light only very short time after the change and after gets heavy even if it's not still time for a change.

I'm surprised AJ didn't suggest working on the quads a bit more....

Neil, good to know

The clutch fluid will go black in no time, a) there only .7 litres in there and b) because of the seals.
