Default Heated seats

Hey,

Has anyone ever had their heated seats fitted by someone else? Im going to be getting a pair of those carbon jobs but idealy id need to take it somewhere in the midlands to fit them.

Any recommendations and a rough idea on price?

Thanks!

I wouldn't like to take a guess on this one mate. You need to get a price for the total job & not by the hour otherwise the labour will cost you more than the kit itself

It's actually very straightforward to fit the heated seat elements and wire then in. If you do a search there is a brilliant write up from an American chap that details it step by step with pics. It will take about an hour per seat and the wiring is dead simple as you just connect the positive and negative to the 12v socket in the centre console.

I did this about 3 yrs ago and I'm no upholsterer. It's the best mod you can do to an S. Top down driving with a warm ass!

An hour per seat you must have small hands & fingers as putting the hog rings back on especially within the base of the seat was a PITA

When I fitted mine a few weeks back it took me more like 2 hours per seat but I am a complete novice at stuff like this - it is more fiddly than difficult.

with Bandit - best mod you can make to the S - I have had mine on nearly every day since fitting them - toasty as

Indeed! i cant wait!

Im going to get the Weaco 100 kit. After spending time in my girlfriends streetka and experiencing the nice warm bottom i had, i often wondered why the s2000 never had them to begin with!

Chucked the hog rings away and used strong cable ties.

I have fitted about 8 sets now, usually in exchange for some liquid refreshment!
Unfortunately for you I am a long way from the Midlands, I'm sure there is someone local to you who will offer to help.

You're not that far away from me though, might well pick you up on that at some point if you don't mind

Liquid refreshment supplied of course

This might be your undoing

The OEM seat is easy to dismantle so you can access the cushion/cover - We need more info on the seat your planning on fitting, before the wiser and older board members can advise
