IMHO the lack of heated door mirrors and the "proper" sports car thang is just bollocks! Why does everyone with a plastic rear screen bleat on about wanting the glass one (with a heating element may add...). Perhaps there should be a delete-option for the heating element on the glass rear screen as it would a. save weight and b. reduce the load on the alternator, thereby maintaining engine performance...

I've owned a BMW convertible and Audi convertible, both with plastic rear screens and both of 'em lasted well over three years I had each of the cars . A friend with an M3 convertible has only just had the plastic rear screen in his replaced after 14 years. Could it be that the stuff Honda use is just shite?

Kobe's right - everything has a price and in all probability the heated mirrors were left off to save money. Or it could be that Honda's product planners simply foorgot to put them in the spec.s!

I for one however would gladly trade that pain-in-the-arse press button starter for heated mirrors though...

Pete, would you let me know the model number and the diameter of the nozel - if it fits the cup holder in the centre console it could almost be a "quality" Honda accessory...

Using the starter button was fun for the first couple of weeks of ownership - it reminded me of pressing the rubber starter button on the floor of my mum's mini... but that was in 1966, when it was cheaper to use a sturdy finger than a solenoid.

Is the starter button merely a gee gaw or does it add to the S2000 experience?

I was of the opinion it was the latter?? - its certainly marketed by honda as such.

Seriously though, I do like it.... would rather have it than not.
It does add to the whole S2000 experience and to the fact that this car is still quite exclusive and is trying to be a little different.

I like the starter button. It's a shame Honda didn't get rid of the ignition key at the same time.

The question is, should it be Red or Green

You won't find it so amusing when the temp falls to minus 23 in January and my little gadget thaws my mirrors out in seconds!

The heated mirror optoin is an accessory made of a kind of flexible circuit board with a metal printed circuit on it that is glued to the backside of the mirror. I've seen them at electronics shops.
