I need to get some speakers in the back/headrest and these brackets seem reasonable.

Buy some ear plugs too

on a serious note, you won't see much of benefit with these firing into the back of your head. I'd opt for upgrading the door speakers and/or a sound processor such as the alpine imprint.

I've done the HU - swapped it with a new Alpine unit and swapped the door speakers with the Kenwood Speakers. Also put the Ripspeed sub under the seat (the one that was on here last year from Halfords!). These bits made a huge improvement over stock.

I'm not looking for a massive sounding system, I just think rear speakers would finish it off (with small fade to rear) especially @ motorway speeds with roof down...

Have you upgraded the door cards so that the tweeters are nearer to you (and replaced the coaxial Kenwoods with Components)?

If not, do that first, it'll give you better sound quality, and move the speaker nearer to your ears.

Much better value for money IMHO.

My headrest speakers made a massive difference, especially with the top down.
I have components in the doors, Alpine head unit and Genesis amp



I would recommend using speakers with a smooth sounding silk dome tweeter.

I have something similar fitted and they are excellent, i use the front rear fader to get the ballance right, with top down i put a little more to the rears as it helps with spoken word and mid range
the pictures dont show how they screw together, i would ask the seller if he can show how they assemble

Those on ebay are poor copies of the S Pods.
The trick is attaching them properly.
I made a few sets as I though the S pods were too flimsy.
I had coaxials and components in them.
I've since had an S with both the OEM roll hoops speakers and the OEM headrest speakers.
They do help with the higher frequencies when the top is down but they need to be "faded" right down or the screw the stereo image.
Out of the 4 combination I tried I preffered the DIY version with the coaxials.
Might do that a gain soon

Alternatively you can cut circular holes yourself near the vents and install speakers there, in the bottom right in Mikeys 2nd pic.

I have some which were installed 3 years and they have been great, some say they spoil the sound stage but i think they help greatly with sound quality esp mid-range when the top is down, i did however replace the headunit+front speakers+tweeters+install 2 rears.
