Headlights - complete units ....
Having had a poke around the american parts of the forum, i've seen some trick things you can do with the headlights.
Question is, what is a fair price to pick a set of these up for? I've seen some on ebay going for £700+ for a pair which seems ludicrously expensive ....
Am I clutching at straws expecting to pick up a cheap pair for £300 and what's the likely chances of selling them on once i've done with them and refitted my original ones?

Hi Ian,
That's going to be my next port of call. Tbh if they're still changing hands for £250 a side which I suspect they will, i'll just take mine off the road for the week or so it will take me to work out what i'm doing, how i'm doing it and to complete it.
I just hate being rushed when it's stuff with headlights as if the finish isn't 100% perfect it really shows up.

That's the link i've been watching
Those are the lenses I want to use - then I can retain the original bulb mounting position, the chap in the video above used some weird LED thing which when it breaks, will require the removal and stripping of the entire light unit to fix.
Unlike him, i'd like to paint the entire inside light mask ( including the curved reflective indicator panel) in matt black powdercoat with a smoked indicator lens - will be subtle and just a little bit different.
If we get snowed in over christmas, I may well just for for it

Oven -> Fahrenheit not Centigrade
It's not actually that difficult and whilst they're in bits, you can polish out any fogging or discolouration on the back of the cover - just have to be careful to not touch the reflector on the main beam unit as the chrome paint tends to rub off

Mine is mostly time ..... i'm far from rich. It will always be about cosmetic mods as opposed to performance stuff. I'd rather try and make it than buy it made - that's the attraction for me.
