Headlight washer MY04
Now I had read about the MY04 headlight washer issue, and it being very annoying.
I have last night found that out in real life and would like to do something about it because A it makes me wet when the roof is down, and B washes the entire bonnet when I don't want it to.
I have read about the dealers fix for this back then, is this still possible?
If not I could just take the fuse out, but does this stop the windscreen washers as well?

Somewhere in the Faq there’s a mod to disengage the button and rewire it to another button somewhere else.
I also think there’s a less elegant solution on the US forums where someone identified the wire and just cut the wire. I guess in the UK you could put some spade connectors there and reconnect it for the MOT.
Although that might have been a different forum all together.

Thats a slightly different washer problem on the older cars rob.
I think he means the headlight washers coming on with the windscreen washers on the 04.
There's a honda TSB that removes the headlight washer button, and makes it so that the headlight washers only come on when the headlights are on. Had it done on mine, not sure the TSB number though...

It is very annoying after the car has just been polished. There's just no need especially as there is a seperate button for the lights too.
Who's car gets so dirty anyway that you need to wash the lenses on a journey?!

You can take the fuse out for just the headlight washers - see your manual.
I did it week one

I've never needed the headlight washers, ever.

From the FAQ.
Open up the bonnet. Look up by the windscreen on the passenger side; there's a black box about 6" x 3" with its top just below the level of the wing, between the battery and the wing.
Squeeze the ends of the box to free the clips and lift off the top. In the box, towards the front, is a 20 amp and a 30 amp fuse
Pull the 30 amp fuse out and store it in the empty space at the opposite end of the box.
