1. replace the rear gaskets with 04 ones - I did this and it made it worse
2. have to remove the friggin bumper???? - yes if you are going to seal the whole lamp
3. leave it and see if it goes away - trust me it wont
4. try plastering glue all over the shop - If done correctly this is deffinately the only way.
5. buy a replacement off something pranged (at a very high price) - nah.. you could be back to square one.
6. leave the f****** - nope.. it will annoy you more!

thanks lloyd.. even if you haven't cheered me up.
at all.

hmmm.. not sure what to do now though you've ruled out use of the 04 gaskets which was useful to know.

I can't be arsed to take the bumper off. So I'm in a quandry. Do I get someone to do it or do I get rid or ignore it..

I'm really not into messing with cars anymore.

I had this. I opened the bonnet....removed the bolb and pointed a hairdryer at it. I let the dryer run for 30 mins which got both the light unit and the rubbers very hot.

I then replaced the bulb connector and left it. Its not returned so its probably worth a go.

I tried drying my headlamp out with a hairdryer but it came back . I took the bumper off, dried the headlamp out again. Sealed up the vent holes in the rubber grommit, and put epoxy resin all around the seal on the headlamp. I then put it all back together and guess what......... its worse now than it was originally . So I am basically living with the f****r. I'm not happy though. I'll eventually pick up a salvage one and hope its better.

Same here, I even went to the effort of doing a thread on it step by step.

I sealed up my grommets and my headlamp too looks terrible.

This is also common on the EP3 Civics... not good, my 1981 Golf GTi didnt used to do it!!!

Condensation starts when the temprature on the inside is greater than the outside, I suppose these HiDs produce loads of heat and that is the cause along with fractured seals?

I am going to try that silica-gel and see how that performs.. keep you posted.

with all Lloyd Six posted. I had this problem in my 00 car. I went through all the steps took hours. In the end I had the bumper off and baked it in the oven on a low heat and plastered epoxy glue around the joint. Apparently still going strong.

In the end I replaced after trying to unseal it in the oven at 200 (Centigrade) instead of farenheight
