And why does it need that particular gizmo then, O Audio Paper Lawyer....? Is it a must-have, bearing in mind that it's not going to get hooked to a whizz-bang amp and sub set-up like the Armstrong Wheels-of-Steel mobile disco
I take it you've not even adjusted your time correction then Mark? More suited to us single types who don't have a LSB but if you change the time correction on your HU to 1.4 on the front right speaker you'll notice the centre of the soundstage move to right in front of you

EDIT: here's some good further details. Also bear in mind you need to do correction for all four speakers in your car, as in this thread (don't forget the driver is on the lefthand side of the car either!)

Ah, I remember what it is now. I think you adjusted that when you very kindly assisted me :koff: in fitting my own HU.

OK - looks like it's the more expensive one then.

Lingus - sorry for completely hijacking your thread. I'll now vacate it!

Do you need a HU harness adapter for a JVC or Blaupunkt
The fingertip control adapter I assume bridges the HU harness to the OEM wiring.

and also if i wanted to put a Sub where my space saver is do i need to take it out??
Read the thread on the Electronics forum as I mentioned above, I don't know off the top of my head I'm afraid (having already got a sub in my boot so not paying much attention to the thread in question).

and would that affect the balance of the car?
Not so as you would notice (and I've got the weight of my single pipe on that side of the car as well as my sub )

I've got a 9" sub that i took out of my VXT i was maybe wondering if i could butcher it and stick it where the space saver is.

Thanks all

Remember your sub enclosure measurements and where you are going to put your amp for it.

yes i will need to make a mdf enclosure for it, i have seen the measurements somewhere i was thinking of putting the amp behind the seat maybe unless i can get it in the boot without taking too much space up.

You have seen a Wlaurent enclsoure haven't you? Perhaps more costly but easy and the amp can go on an amp tray where the spare tyre was then. But I'm biased, that's what I did (See photos in sig)

Yeah it's something like that, mines a 9" audiobahn bass tube, i don't want to butcher it but i may have to save spending more money on another sub.
