Default Head Rest Speakers

Anyone have these fitted?

If so are they any good? I am tempted on getting a set instead of getting some components for the doors.

You'll get better sound of decent components, unless you like mono from behind you?

I'd only add them as a last resort for a bit of in-fill, once you'd done the proper parts of the sound system properly.

Audio:
You can do it right.

You can do it cheap.

Doing it right costs more, but the quality is evident.

Forget the additional speakers idea.
I have heard several systems - the additional speakers route has always come out as a "painting by numbers" rather than a "Cezanne"

Well I'm going to disagree

I have them in my current S
I've tried numerous configurations over the years
They are a good compromise

I think rear speakers installed near the rear vents made a world of difference, the speakers were not cheap but not the most expensive either.

I upgraded the front speakers at the same time too.

Saying this, I'm no audiophile either.

I agree with mikey k. I have the Honda ones, they came with the car and are just fine. With the roof down I can hear the music without having to blow my eardrums. Most of the quality will be lost with roof down driving due to wind noise etc.
