have you swapped from SO2's
Not wanting to open another can of worms here, but I probably will.
I am replacing my current original 16" tyres due to wear on the edges, I have the option to get new SO2's or change to something else.
I'm interested to know the experiences of owners that have experienced the original Bridgestone 16" SO2's on their S and now have different tyres fitted.
From reading through the numerous tyre related threads, it appears that most have changed brands of tyre through necessity.
Would you replace with SO2's if you had the choice or have you found your current tyre to be equal to, or better than the originals?

S02s were a POS, dangerous in the wet. Every other set I have tried have been better all round tyres.
(....and I have tried a few)

If it's a weekend car driven mainly in the dry, S02's are still a good option (if you can find them).
If it's an all-round car, RE050A's seem to have a good rep and seem to suit the car.
If it's going to be used in any of the flood-hit areas can I suggest T1-R's and a snorkel...but one from a Landy going upwards, not the Mugen version... :hehe:

In your experience, what has been the best tyre for you and why?
I bought these as summer tyres as I was aware that they had a very good reputation for grip in dry conditions. What has amazed me is also how good they are in both the cold and the wet conditions.
(I do have a spare set of rears tucked away in the loft)
