no problem after driving the car hard 90% of the time and doing 22k miles in 12 months on an 02. Will let you know what the 04 is like.

The sluggy engine was after we put normal unleaded in - so that one's sorted, the stalling is a bit annoying. Need to take it to another garage for second opinion. Not overly impressed with Slough.

Lower,

Perhaps your title needs tightening a bit:

Apart from the MAP sensor, the other problem I have is it's only 237BHP!

That's hardly a catastrophic failure, but a full JDM 250 would be useful.

A slightly sharper throttle response is all I could say is the difference. I'm not sure one could measure a performance difference.

It feels better on 98, but then it never has any long enough on 95 to remap. I only ever put a splash in in an emergency.

Tell you what though, 100 makes it a fcuking road rocket!

Never had any when I had one.

VTEC solenoid went once so it wouldn't VTEC in any gear. 20 mins down Southern Counties later and it was job done. These things are bloody reliable. Started 1st time everytime no matter how cold.

I had a re-occuring engine management light, showing as misfires on all cylinders, although car ran OK. No V-tec when light is on

I had a service and new plugs at 60k, still occured
Balmer Lawn Honda said valves needed adjusting, I was sceptical but said ok.
All valves needed adjustment as they get tight with age,

I had an entire new engine. I'd call that a major blow up!

This was in the early days and I think was rectified by the oil bolt recall.

oil filter seals split on a m.m.meet. dont think the under side of the car will ever rust.
(p.s. rescued by ade/jude, and a man restoring his jag in his nearby garage
