Hats are for winter unless you drive an Impreza, Saxo, Renault 19, are employed in F1 or under 12.

They are desperately UNCOOL.

Slap on some protection instead.

Hats are for keeping the sun out of your eyes. Sunglasses alone don't always do the job when the sun is high in the sky, and the glare can be quite dangerous.

I don't wear one because I look a total nob in one just jealous at all you cool dudes who can pull off the baseball cap look

Last year when i went to Blackpool,i had a few hats and the best of all was the Top hat prefect never budged!Oh and you get a few more folk looking as well!

The sun makes my head hurt whether I wear sunbloc or not, so I need to wear a hat. I also find sunglasses are too dark to see the road properly at times.

I am 5'10, and have no "lift off" problems with the s2ki cap (as supplied by Roadie ) worn in the conventional way, even at speeds of 100 (kph).

The only problem is that the back of my neck gets burnt, so secret weapon is a Tilley Hat (Swiss Army Knife of hats ) - you have to fold the sides up to stop buffeting, and it is advised to use the neckcord, but it provides the best protection from the sun IMHO.
