I hardly ever change gear mid bend. I'll always select the gear I want before the bend and then ease the power on when exiting, sometimes changing up as I straighten up. The times I have changed mid bend the car has kicked a little, especially in the wet.

I've also had it kick when I was changing down on a track and hadn't matched the revs that closely so it gave a lively wiggle to remind me to drive smoother.

Does it skip/kick round corners when you are not changing gear? If so then that might be an alignment problem like Neil had. I'll go and look up the link to the thread, if I find it i'll be back post it, if i can't then....

DWS is spot-on!

Mind you, if I'm only bimbling, I sometimes change up mid corner. It dials out the understeer via the RWS.

I have taken the car to have it aligned. But after having it back, it still does the same. I have just noticed that, if i am on a straight road and press the accelerator, the car twitches right and when i take it off the accelerator it switches left. Surely this is an alignment problem??? Help! It's really annoying me now!

I noticed exactly the same effect. it's nothing to do with tyre pressures, alignment or anything else. Simply. if you're accelerating hard in a lower gear and you change gear on a bend then the front tucks in and it feels like the rear has skipped out. Used to be called trailing throttle oversteer. Sounds bloody good down the pub - "went into Becketts and encountered a touch of trailing throttle oversteer- yes mine's a pint of Old Fart, thank you Landlord"

Don't worry about it.
