Default Has anyone actually replaced the thermostat themselves?

Whilst at Honda i spoke to one of the tech's who insisted there are 3 bolts for the thermostat housing/to take it out, and you can't get it out from underneath - I've had a quick look and seen the two bolts but i think otherwise. According the service manual there is only 2 bolts.

Has anyone actually replaced it from underneath? i see one bolt is a bit of bugger to get to but an elbow socket with ratchet may do it.

Cheers

Looks like two to me, unless he's thinking of taking the whole pump housing off, even then it's five bolts.

Yeah just as i thought and have seen myself. I reckon either a ratchet spanner, elbow ratchet+extension or flexible one should do - but one bolt looks like a tricky bugger.

I'd rather remove the hose and try and use a small ring spanner, those bolts look prone to rounding if you don't get the socket on square.
