Default Harness for S2K Stereo (YM02) in the UK?

Hi,

I'm looking for a harness for the S2K factory head unit.. I know Lucid do one but you have to spend over $15 to order stuff from them.. any other options guys? I don't really want to solder direct onto the terminals...

Metula, are you using the harness to keep the HU and drive rear speakers? If so, will you not be ordering the Lucid rear panels as well?

If you're buying a new HU, the Alpine HU and KCE-865B dash controls adpater is a favourite choice (fitting mine this weekend!). I understand that some guys have fitted some Sony gfear as well, but not sure of the necessary adapter.

I'm not saying anything more - I'm very much an ICE novice (as demonstrated above)

PS I bought my first S on the same date as yours, identical colours as well...look where it ended up!

Hi - ouch - that doesn't look very comfortable!! Hope no one was hurt too bad!!!

Actually, I'm fitting the S2k head unit in a friend's car and want something exactly like the Lucid harness.. I've already replaced my stereo with an Alpine unit and dash control adapter.. works well.. although it does do some interesting things sometimes (like skip a track when I hit the volume up button on the dash.. but very rarely!)

I wouldn't consider putting rear speakers into the S.. you're never going to get a full sound from them so I don't see the point.. It'll move the center of the sound back a little but I didn't buy my S to listen to music... obviously had to remove the crap that comes from the factory though!!! Those speakers were ridiculous!!

Hey Craig,

Do you know of any stereo shops in the UK that can ship the KCE-856B to California, US? I have been looking everywhere online and cannot seem to find any online dealers that even have the adapter in stock. I have a 7983R HU. How much did you pay for yours?

MCS stock it or can get it in: MCS Direct

Otherwise, places like Halfords will do their best: Halfords contact details

It sounds like AE will sort you out if the suppliers won't ship to the US for you!
