just had a look on their website and they probably wouldn't do any dent bigger than a tennis ball

Ignore the stupider comments - it is possible to remove dents from ally, but it requires application of heat, a wooden mallet & the area needs annealing afterwards. And most likely etching & repainting.

As you've guessed, you need a properly-trained panel beater & not one of these "Dent Dorks".

It sounds as if your HT has ended up in a bit of a state and I do wonder if a S/H one might be more cost-effective?

Thank you Nick but in case you haddn't noticed the OP hadn't mentioned the degree of damage till after my post, and as for "dent dorks" I think you'll find most if not all Diamond Dent guys do a damn good job.

I didn't actually think your initial post was one of the more stupid - however, I'm less sure about that one!

It appears PDR IS now possible on ally, but you can see from this the problem with annealing it without burning the paint - IF you can find someone good enough to do it.

Some more info

Like I say, it's likely gonna be expensive.
