Hardtop leaks

Hardtop leaks
Evening all.
Having never had my hardtop on, I just wanted to know if people have ever encountered leaks with them or are they quite robust in keeping water out?
With the lovely weather we are having it needs to go asap.

I was worried about leaks being a new owner. Put the roof on a few weeks back and it was creaky with lots of wind noise. Following posts on here I went through the "tweaking the brackets" process and things improved 80%. Finally I went and bought some of the magic Japanese grease.
Applied two good coats to all rubbers and re seated the roof.
Some what sceptical of the shiatsu grease (however you spell it) and what it did, I went on a 120 mile round trip the next day. Most noise disappeared, windows sealed better and all knocking and squeaks almost none existent.
No leaks and very happy.
2 points though.
Make sure the rear latches do pull the roof down, if not search for hard top fitting guide and follow the process for adjusting the brackets that are fitted to the hard top.
I used some rubber tubing over the front hook latches to make them pull tight and also stop any rattles, again following tips available on here
Would just say that putting hardtop on does make you envious when it's a nice day and you see other s's with there top down :-(
(Who agrees it's the only soft top with an extra hard top that still looks good? mx and old z's just look wrong to me)

My RSG rep doesn't leak, if I was it and spray water directly at the spot previously pointed out, water will come through, but, that's because I didn't run the window seal all the way to the hardtop. (First time install mistake). I also used shin etsu grease allllll over my seals but after time some creaks have come back. I probably need to reseat it but I won't worry about it until spring when I take it off and get my soft time replaced. And YES having a hardtop does make you envious of other s's with soft tops :/ but, you know they're even more envious of our hardtops
