Default Hardtop

Finally picked a dry enough day to put the hood down and get the hardtop on. Gives the car a nice fresh look that isn't at the expense of impromptu top down goodness (because it's bloody freezing out there ).

I was a little perturbed at the difficulty integra_woman and I had getting the hardtop on. We've had it off (fnaar) and on a few times and never had a problem, although today it was a right ballache. After a few very difficult attempts we finally did, however it just doesn't look right. Above the driver side is fine, however the passenger side (which was causing the most grief to engage) looks slightly proud of the cross member at the top of the windscreen. It took ages to the clip into place on the passenger side of the windscreen and I didn't want to force it, but now it has finally gone in I'm not happy.

I washed the car afterwards and there's no ingress of water, and it was only after this I noticed it looked a little proud. I'm going to try to remedy the situation tomorrow, however is there something I'm missing or something it is quite common to get wrong? The hardtop has been kept under its cover on the OEM stand for 7 months without being disturbed, and there's no issue with the car or any of the fitments. I'm confused, dotcom.

Which way did you store it on the stand ??
Screen near the floor or away.

There's a chance that it could have warped, the brackets have moved or you just haven't got it on right.

On a cold day sometimes it's hard to get the soft top low enough to allow the hard top to fit easily.

My method
both doors open windows down.
Grease all seals
Place hard top in place (no clamps at this stage)
Start engine - heater to max
leave 10 mins (doors semi closed, windows up)
Clamp both rear clamps at the same time
Do up windscreen latches.

I will give that a try. Cheers.
