Hey mate, I'm also East London. I just got Car Audio Centre to install my stuff a few weeks back.

I've got an Alpine CDE-196DAB Headunit installed now with some good aftermarket speakers and an alpine under seat sub. The controls work, and the speaker for the phone works too. Massive improvement on the stock rubbish.

Yes - can you please tell me how much you paid for all the work? Was it the Ilford store? Was customer service OK?
thanks!

FYI:
I asked the CarAudioDirect for the fitting price for Pioneer MVH-X380BT + PC99-X61 Stalk and PC99-Pioneer
And was quoted:
UNIT £85.00
STEERING CONTROL £45.00
FITTING £40.00+VAT
Which seems reasonable - so probably gonna go with that.

Sorry - didn't see these.
Customer service was excellent - they've been around for 10 years, and I was recommended to them from a friend. Store was in Ilford.
Don't even know how much I paid for everything to be completely honest. Parts and Labour about £600ish.

Ordered all the bits from Amazon for just over £90.
Took me less than an hour to remove the old and fit the new including siting the microphone on the driver side windscreen pillar.
The trickiest bit (not really) was getting the screws from the stock unit's bracket to fit the new Pioneer unit. The holes on the Pioneer were a bit small. I just used a screw bit and electric screwdriver to widen out the hole...
And zero Knuckle skin loss!!
