It's a tough one. FWIW, the front wings are notoriously weak.
Bought a new suede cream coloured sofa last year... two days in, we have some friends over - one of them is sat there, shoes on... gradually wiping shoe polish from shoes to sofa
I didn't say anything - same concerns over being labeled Mr "It's just a sofa".
I dunno, when did it become such a crime to be proud of your posessions and want to keep them nice?
