There are similar pedal issues with bottles of water under the seat.
Anyone tries to car-jack me and they'll get wet without a seconds thought. I'll Evian their ass straight to hell.
I think it's funny that C7ble was just asking questions and they all got aggressive and defensive.

Its just a completely alien mentality to ours........
All you really need to do is look at the gun related deaths/injuries in the US per capita versus here (or anywhere where guns are illegal). That will tell you all you need to know.
However, the chances of the US ever changing in this regard is nil. Its in their constitution. I was in the US when that Korean guy in Virginia killed 30-odd (I think) people.......big news for a few days, the debate is had all over again, then it dies down and they get on with it. Nothing changes.....its human nature......and nut jobs like Charlton Heston!

Possibly a lack of national service ?
Switzerland doesn't have problems on the same scale & they have a fair number of guns in the community: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/1566715.stm

Not read it all.... just the first and last pages.
While I have no firm views, or solutions, one way or the other I do agree with this comment from one of the pro lobby. ....
"Do you really think crime would decrease if the US bans guns??? All that would really do is inform criminals with guns that they now have the upperhand over every law abiding citizen who has just been disarmed."
So basically, they're screwed either way IYAM

Canada have many more guns per head than the US. The problem is the mentality that spawns from overcrowding cities and a decreased sense of community. we have a similar problem, just no guns.
