Grooved Disks - which way should they face?
I bought a barely used set of front disks from D2 TEX and have fitted them to the car but wasn't sure which direction the groove should face.
They're black diamond of some sort and I need to fit some DS2500 pads on Saturday anyway so may as well sort it if they need swapping.
Pic below is front passenger side of the car.

TIA

Yeah that's the "right" way. The other way is sometimes used by track goers - apparently gives better braking and better cooling of the disc...no idea if these claims are true!

That's the wrong way, which is what I was told when I put mine on that way.
The other way is meant to be slightly more aggressive for deglazing the pads, which is the point of grooves. But I wouldn't waste any time swapping them around.

If the rotor vanes are directional it definitely matters which way they are mounted. If not it matters much less, but it may affect pad wear. If the rotors have directional vanes they should be marked.
