i agree, i wouldnt buy or recommend Grilltech - they really shoudl sort out the quality of the items, especially considering their situ. for the price, Craig's soltions sound sthe best - Grilltech products arent much more than that anyway.

as for delivery, the two sets i ordered last year both arrived betwen 1 & 2 weeks from ordertime to arrival.

So due to the vote I have refinished them black and here they are!

I dedicate this to supers2k for a great car and a unique front spoiler

Now I need to work on the stainless ones!

I've just received my grills from grilltech - they took 2 months to arrive. Chose black, should llok good, haven't fitted them yet.

Do they rust ?

What do I need to do to protect them from that?

Silver ones rusted like hell . I refinished them with Hammerite and an Epoxy black paint. That should make them tougher. I guess you could get some sort of aerosol clear epoxy coating. The problem is with them being so low they tend to get grit blasted by debris, it is more pronounced on the center grill as that has air flow through it. I guess what ever we do they will still corrode again in time

That is why it needs a change of material to one that does not corrode. Hence I am looking at stainless mesh ones!

For a preview of what the black ones look like on the fastest colour have a look at my post above or my gallery!

If I'd know they were prone to rusting I wouldn't have bought them

GrilleTech do some nice stuff and my perception is that it is high quality kit, to hear they rust is disappointing as they weren't cheap.
